Verifica Apprendimento
Assessment is based on a written examination, graded on a 30-point scale.
The examination consists of two parts and has a total duration of 90 minutes.
Part 1 – Language, terminology and pragmatics
Part 1 consists of 21 questions, including multiple-choice and open-ended questions.
The questions assess students’ ability to apply the grammatical, lexical and pragmatic knowledge developed during the course, with particular reference to specialised business terminology, phraseology, register and language use in context.
Each question is worth 1 point, for a maximum of 21 points.
Part 2 – Written production
Part 2 consists of one written production task, based on the types of professional and business-related writing practised during the course.
The written production task is worth a maximum of 10 points.
The examination is passed with a minimum overall score of 18/30.
The maximum raw score is 31 points; a total score of 31 corresponds to 30/30 cum laude.
The same examination structure and assessment criteria apply to both attending and non-attending students.
In-course partial assessment for attending students (esonero)
Attending students will have the opportunity to take Part 1 of the written examination as an in-course partial assessment (esonero) at the end of the course, according to the procedures and schedule communicated by the lecturer at the beginning of the course.
The score obtained in Part 1 will be retained and combined with the score obtained in Part 2 during the regular examination session.
Completion of Part 2 is compulsory for all students. Students who take Part 1 as an in-course partial assessment must therefore complete Part 2 during the regular examination session in order to receive a final grade.
Students who do not take the in-course partial assessment will complete both Part 1 and Part 2 during the regular examination session.
