Abstract:
Food law is a complex and problematic subject with many different connections to
several areas of law. All these aspects are described in detail by Andreas Meisterernst in his books
on food law, which are an interesting anthology of issues for anyone wishing to explore the
problems of food law at both national and European level. Alongside the classic food law topics of
consumer protection, rather than the issue of the protection of products of guaranteed origin, new
topics are being developed, such as, for example, issues related to novel foods and the need to
ensure safe food sources for consumers that are also ecologically sustainable
