Abstract:
Sinonasal malignancies are uncommon neoplasms, which account only for 1% of all cancers and 3% to 5% of all head and neck malignancies. Different histologies show different biological behavior, prognosis and patterns of recurrences. This influences daily clinical practice making diagnosis a challenging task for both clinicians and pathologists. At present, the main issue in sinonasal malignancies management is to establish the correct treatment strategy among different multimodal treatments available, including different surgical options (from endoscopic endonasal to craniofacial approaches) and specific protocols of neo-adjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and biologic targeted therapies.
