Abstract:
The present paper offers a first insight into the European private international law rules on cross border torts. It shows how alternativity and multiplicity are at the core of the system, thus granting a margin of flexibility. The interplay of international and European legal sources widens interconnections and the availability of forum shopping dependent on the applicable law in the forum State.
