Principles of Risk Management: definition of fundamental principles and of clinical risk 3. Hospital infections and clinical risk 4. Sanitary Environment: definition of the concepts of cleaning, sanitation, decontamination, antisepsis and sterilisation. Strategies to ensure microbiological safety. 5. Hand hygiene: simple hand washing, alcohol antisepsis, antiseptic washing, surgical washing. Preparation and management of a sterile field. Use of gloves. Hospital waste management. 6.
