What are atoms and molecules made of? How is their structure related the macroscopic features of the substances? Why and how do they undergo chemical transformations? The course aims at providing answers to all of these questions.
Course Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of Math and Physics acquired in high school classes.
Teaching Methods
The course features both frontal lectures (4 CFU, 32 hours) and exercises (2 CFU, 24 hours). Lectures will be supported by power point presentations and audio/video materials. Exercises will be solved at the board.
Assessment Methods
Written essay featuring requiring answering to theoretical questions and solving stoichiometry exercises. The test is considered as passed with a mark ≥18/30.
