Note critiche sul Piano Strategico Nazionale italiano alla luce del Green Deal: la mancata percezione dell’obiettivo di rafforzamento della posizione della comunità agricola

The influence of the Green Deal on the post-2020 CAP reform led to the identification of ten key objectives on which Member States had to draw up their CAP Strategic Plans. This contribution analyses the draft Plan presented by Italy, in relation to the objective of strengthening the position of the agri¬cultural community and the transversal objective of modernising the agrifood sector. The analysis will reveal the absence of the research and innovation el¬ement, as well as the Plan’s failure to adopt a renewed approach in specific measures to support producers and the rural labour force. Finally, it will focus on the potential role of blockchain technology applied to the agrifood supply chain, as an example of innovation that can ensure social sustainability and an effective green and digital transition of the agricultural sector.
