La fraseologia come meccanismo neologico nel lessico tecnico spagnolo: una riflessione diacronica

In the XVIII and XIX century Spain, the scientific and technical advances led to a fast transformation of the sociocultural context. These dynamics made a significant impact on the ancient crafts, producing a change in the conceptual organization that, on a linguistic perspective, led to the discovery of a lexical heritage hidden by the guild’s policy. On the other side, the resulting situation of lexical need started a process of lexical creation inside the Spanish language. This essay aims to analyse these period of the history of Spanish language focusing on the lexicon of leather tanning. More precisely, the study has two main purposes. Firstly, we will study the role of the phraseology as a neological mechanism in a
technical lexicon. Secondly, to analyse the morphosemantic aspects of the phraseological units in order to find the patterns that regulate this mechanism.
