The contribution analyses the gender equality certification system introduced by Law 5 November 2021, n. 162, in the prism of the transparency principle. The focus is mainly on the involvement of micro and small businesses and on the profiles connected to the control and monitoring of the system, highlighting the role of the institutional network for gender equality and the trade union. The new institution is also placed in the more general framework of the existing gender transparency tools.
