Formation of quaternary carbon centers in ethylene polymerization with meso-isopropylidenebis(1-indenyl)zirconium dichloride activated by MAO

Alkyl branches are usually incorporated into the polyethylene chain by ethylene copolymerization with 1-alkenes. In principle, this result can also be gained by chain growing isomerization during ethylene homopolymerization. An overview is given on the studies focused on this subject.
