The laboratory is integrated into the hospital structure of the ASST-Sette Laghi Circolo di Varese Hospital. It features Bioview image analyzers for FISH, the Ventana-Roche automatic immunohistochemistry system and the Morgagni 368 Electronic Microscope.
The molecular pathology laboratory has a complete platform that allows nucleic acid analysis by sequencing analysis (Sanger sequencing, Pyrosequencing, Next Generation sequencing), gene expression profiling studies by Nanostring technology and by RT-PCR; mutational profiling studies by MALDI-TOF spectrometry.
