Current position:
- Associate Professor, sector 09/H1, academic discipline ING-INF/05 - Software Engineering, Theoretical and Applied Sciences Department (DISTA), University of Insubria (UNINSUBRIA).
- Principal Investigator for the funded national project PRIN 2022,with the proposal entitled “SERENA-IIoT: SEcure and REliable Networked Architecture for Industrial Internet of Things digital transformation”.

Short CV:
Alessandra Rizzardi was born in Varese in 1989. She is Associate Professor at DISTA, UNINSUBRIA, from October 2025. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics, XXIX cycle, at UNINSUBRIA in 2016. She received her Bachelor’s and Master's degrees 110/110 cum laude in Computer Science at UNINSUBRIA in October 2011 and July 2013, respectively.

She is a Ph.D. board member in “Computer Science and Computational Mathematics”, at UNINSUBRIA. She currently teaches “Programmazione” (Computer Science bachelor’s degree) and “Innovative Telecommunication Systems” (laboratory, Computer Science master’s degree), at UNINSUBRIA. She has been (co-)advisor of many bachelor’s and master’s degree thesis at DISTA, UNINSUBRIA.

She has (co-)authored more than 40 scientific papers in international journals and conferences.

Current scientific interests:
- Cyber-security and intrusion detection
- Security and privacy in the Internet of Things;
- Security and privacy in wireless sensors networks and wireless multimedia sensors networks;
- Software engineering.
