Education: Degree in Medicine and Surgery, University of Milano, Italy.
Specialization in Occupational Medicine and specialization in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine – University of Milano.
Since 2002 has been researcher of Occupational Medicine at the University of Milano-Bicocca, and physician at the Occupational Medicine Unit at San Gerardo Hospital in Monza.
Since 2011 has been director of Occupational Medicine Unit at Hospital of Lecco.
Since 2015 has been associate professor and director of School of Specialization in Occupational Medicine of Occupational Medicine - University of Milan Bicocca - Monza
Since 2022 is associate professor and director of School of Specialization in Occupational Medicine
University of Insubria – Varese, and director of Occupational Medicine Unit at Hospital of Varese.
He has been involved, in various national and international projects: MONICA-WHO Project (a worldwide project of MONItoring trends in CArdiovascular diseases along ten years); RIFLE Project (another collaborative Italian study on RIsk Factors and Life Expect-ancy, coordinated by the Italian National Health Institute); PAMELA Project (an observational study on ambulatory monitoring of blood pressure in a population sample of Northern Italy); JACE-BIOMED1 (Job stress and Absenteism on incidence of Coronary heart disease across Europe); -"Risk in Cleaning"-BIOMED2; PM-Care-PRIN (Effects of Short-term Exposure to Urban Particulate Matter on Cardiovascular and Respiratory Systems); PRIN2007 a clinical study on effects of Urban particulate matter. FAR-UNIMIB related to biomechanical overload of upper limb and low back even with data from movement analysis system.
He is author or co-author of some 240 papers mainly on the following topics: occupational medicine and toxicology, cardiovascular diseases epidemiology, microclimate, risk assessment of biomechanical overload of musculoskeletal disorders, ageing and work, human dimensions of work.
