SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY AND FIELDS OF INTEREST
The scientific production and clinical activity of Dr Paolo Capogrosso focus on the following main topics
- Epidemiology, diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of male sexual dysfunctions
During his residency program, Dr. Capogrosso was dedicated to the field of male sexual dysfunctions with a specific focus on erectile dysfunction as a proxy of general male health. Currently he plays an active role in the andrological service of San Raffaele Hospital (Milan)
- Physiopathology and treatment of male infertility
Since University, Dr Capogrosso has been involved in the field of male infertily, developing a specific know-how in the clinical management of the patient with male infertility as well as acquiring surgical skills in the techniques of sperm retrieval.
- Treatment outcomes and follow-up of uro-oncological diseases
During his residency program, Dr Capogrosso has focused his clinical research in the field of treatment outcomes for prostate, bladder and kidney cancer with a specific focus on functional outcomes.
- Surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia
Dr Capogrosso has been involved in retrospective and prospective studies on functional outcomes and complications after surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Currently he is responsible for the clinical database collecting data of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
