FONDRIESCHI ALBA FRANCESCA

Full Professor of Private Law at the University of Insubria, Department of Economics, where she teaches Private Law for the Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Management and Business Contract Law for the Master's Degree in Economics, Law and Business Finance.
Previously, she held the position of Associate Professor at the same University (2006-2018) and Researcher at the University of Brescia, Faculty of Economics (2002-2006).
She graduated in Law in 1996 at the University of Milan with a dissertation in Civil Law and a mark of 110/110 cum laude, and in 2001 she obtained a PhD in Civil Law at the University of Turin.
In 2021 she spent a research period as a visiting scholar at the Law School of the Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan.
Her main research interests include contract law, with particular reference to relational contracts and changed circumstances, legal transplants, with special reference to the Japanese and Asian legal systems. Other research topics include data protection and animal welfare law.
She is a member of the editorial board of the legal journal “Osservatorio del diritto civile e commerciale”, published by il Mulino, member of Associazione Civilisti Italiani (Italian Civil Law Scholars Association), member of DJJV- Deutsch-Japanische Juristenvereinigung (German-Japanese Association of Jurists).
From 2015 to 2018 she was member of the scientific board of the Ph.D. program in Methods and Models for Economic Decisions, University of Insubria.
She is the author of 4 monographs, an encyclopedia entry, comments on the Civil Code, and papers published on legal journals.
