MONICO REBEKKA

Rebekka Monico has been Tenure Track Researcher in International Law at the Department of Law, Economics, and Cultures of the University of Insubria since February 2024.

She is a Member of the Doctoral Board of the PhD in Law and Humanities and Erasmus Coordinator of the Master’s Degree Course in Law of Varese.

On 23 October 2025 she obtained the National Scientific Habilitation to the functions of Associate Professor in sector GIUR-09/A - International Law.

She enrolled in the special list of full-time university professors of the Milan Bar Association.

She graduated with honors in law from the University of Insubria in 2014 and received a PhD in Law and Humanities with honors from the same University in 2019 and a Master of Laws in International Business Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2020.

She conducted research at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg, the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law in Lausanne and the Peace Palace Library in the Hague.

She is the author of numerous articles on international law published in Class A journals and of a monograph on the Jurisdiction in Non-Contractual Matters within the European Judicial Area published by Giappichelli.
