Professor Giuseppe Ietto is a General Surgeon specialized in General Surgery, University Researcher at the University of Insubria, and Consultant Surgeon with a high-specialization appointment in Transplant Surgery at ASST Sette Laghi in Varese, Italy. Prof. Giuseppe Ietto, MD, PhD, FEBS, FACS

Professor Giuseppe Ietto is Associate Professor of General Surgery at the University of Insubria and Consultant Surgeon with a high-specialization appointment in Transplant Surgery at ASST Sette Laghi in Varese, Italy. He serves as Director of the Research Center in Robotic Surgery, where he coordinates scientific activities focused on the development and implementation of innovative technologies in surgical practice.

His clinical activity integrates transplant surgery, oncologic surgery, and robotic and minimally invasive surgery, with well-established expertise in the management of complex patients within multidisciplinary settings. He has developed advanced competencies in major abdominal surgery and transplant surgery, contributing to the advancement and implementation of innovative surgical approaches.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery and completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of Insubria. He subsequently obtained a PhD with honors in collaboration with Harvard Medical School, with research focused on the immunological and biological mechanisms underlying transplantation and oncogenesis. He has also completed advanced training programs at leading international academic centers.

His research activity focuses on transplant surgery, oncologic surgery, and technological innovation, with particular emphasis on predictive modeling, advanced imaging techniques, and personalized medicine.
