Overview
Medical doctor and academic with a long-standing career in paediatrics, active at the University of Insubria since 1999 and Associate Professor since 2017. After graduating with honours and specialising in Paediatrics at the University of Pavia, she furthered her training in paediatric gastroenterology in London and obtained a PhD in Medical Sciences in Brussels.
Her research primarily focuses on gastro-oesophageal reflux, coeliac disease, food allergies, and the use of pro/prebiotics. She has a strong international profile, with training and research experience in leading centres in London, Madrid and Brussels, as well as ongoing scientific collaborations across Europe. In parallel, she is also actively involved in research within SIGENP and ESPGHAN.
