The Center aims to:
a. Promote applied research and application development on the following thematic areas:
- Biomaterials in Bone Surgery (Biomaterials in Bone Surgery)
- Scaffolds for Tissue Engineering
- Stem cells in Bone Surgery
- Advanced Ceramics (Advanced Ceramics)
- Implant Materials and Surfaces
- Technology of implant manufacturing processes (Technology of Implant Manifacture)
- Technologies of the construction of the prosthesis on implants (Technology of Implant Prosthesis Manifacture)
- Custom made Bone Surgery Surgery Techniques
b. Contribute to the training of researchers and teachers of the disciplines included in its aims;
c. Spreading the culture of innovation also by offering higher education activities (masters and advanced training courses), having among its main references the world of small and medium-sized enterprises;
d. Promote technology transfer initiatives to the reference area, developing relationships with other research institutions in Italy and abroad, and preparing projects at local, national and international level;
e. Supporting companies in innovation processes, through tutoring activities;
f. Stimulate the planning of initiatives and encourage their implementation, also in collaboration with public and private bodies with a view to the partnership between operators, with particular reference to operators in the Insubria area;
g. Encourage the comparison, dissemination and dissemination of knowledge through communications, conferences, courses, editorial and publicistic initiatives and any other training and information program useful for the pursuit of its purposes
