The Research Center on Chronic Diseases aims to develop the integration between the activities of researchers and teachers from different scientific-disciplinary areas by promoting the development of an interdisciplinary approach, and to foster innovation and knowledge transfer with particular reference to chronic diseases. The main issues that are the subject of the Centre's activities are the following:
a. promote research in the field of chronic diseases, namely on cell biology, genetics, pathophysiology, pharmacology and therapy of chronic diseases;
b. encourage the development of an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach to deepen knowledge in the field of chronic diseases by linking the skills of the various groups operating at the various research structures of the University of Insubria;
c. promote experimentation in the field of chronic diseases, with particular regard to the physiopathological, epidemiological and pharmacological aspects;
d. research of new diagnostic-therapeutic methodologies and strategies for the management of chronic diseases;
e. implementation of the diagnostic-therapeutic cycle in chronic diseases;
f. implementation of screening, therapy and follow-up protocols in chronic diseases;
g. favor collaboration with National and International Reference Centers;
h. promote the comparison, dissemination and dissemination of knowledge through communications, conferences, courses, publishing and publicity initiatives and any other training and information program relating to chronic diseases;
i. to establish training programs on the clinical evaluation of chronic diseases and their diagnostic-therapeutic program and to contribute to the training of researchers, experts and teachers of the discipline.
