The Center aims to develop the integration between the activities of researchers and teachers from different scientific-disciplinary areas by promoting the development of an interdisciplinary approach in order to foster innovation and the transfer of knowledge with particular reference to the following areas :
a.study of the human genome in its sequence and expression variability, both at individual and population level, to the study of chromosomal variability in relation to its effects on the genome.
b. Analysis of the role of the genome in the pathogenesis of human diseases, in relation to its interaction with the environment.
c. Precision Medicine studies, based on the recent development of advanced molecular technologies capable of applying and disseminating "4P medicine" approaches (Predictive, Preventive, Personalized and Participatory) in the clinical setting.
