The research activity of the Psychiatry Group develops in the following areas:
Pharmacogenetic applications in the treatment of Bipolar Disorder;
Fictitious disorders, dissociative disorders of consciousness;
Depressive disorders, onset in particular age groups; pathophysiological relationships between genetic biomarkers and the immune system, in collaboration with the Pharmacology of the University of Insubria;
Post-traumatic disorders related to organic problems: depressive symptoms and post-traumatic disorder symptoms assessed in patients undergoing hysterectomy for benign pathology, in collaboration with the Gynecology Obstetrics Clinic of the University of Insubria.
Cardiology outcome and correlations with resilience, quality of life and anxiety-depressive manifestations in patients undergoing implantation of Implantable Cardiac Defibrillator (ICD)" in collaboration with Cardiology Clinic of the University of Insubria;
Ethnopsychiatry and cultural psychiatry. Psychopathology of migratory trauma and psychiatric disorders in the migrant population;
Resilience;
