The course provides students with fundamental knowledge of the main diseases of the musculoskeletal system, with particular emphasis on clinical features, diagnostic-therapeutic pathways, and nursing care management.
The course aims to enable students to: recognize the most relevant orthopaedic and traumatological conditions understand diagnostic and therapeutic pathways plan and manage nursing care for patients with musculoskeletal disorders effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team

At the end of the course, students will have acquired knowledge of:
anatomy and pathophysiology of the musculoskeletal system
main orthopaedic and traumatic conditions (fractures, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, inflammatory diseases)
basic clinical and instrumental diagnostic principles
principles of conservative and surgical treatment

identify signs and symptoms of major musculoskeletal diseases
