Nursing problems in people undergoing surgery: assessment and interventions of proven effectiveness in the perioperative period, with particular reference to: • Prevention of healthcare-associated infections (urinary tract, surgical wounds, respiratory tract) • Prevention of the risk of deep vein thrombosis; performing passive and active physical exercises • Care of personal hygiene with aids and principles of correct management (drains, probes, catheters) • Post-surgical pain management • Protect the safety of the person undergoing surgery • Nursing problems in the person with a stoma: assessment, interrelation with other needs, the process of nursing care for the person with a stoma (enterostomy, urostomy) • Nursing problems in the person undergoing mastectomy surgery: assessment, interrelation with other needs, the nursing care process • Nursing problems in the person undergoing gastrectomy surgery: assessment, interrelation with other needs, the nursing care process • Nursing problems in the person undergoing thoracic surgery: assessment, interrelation with other needs, the nursing care process • Presentation of surgical clinical cases
