The main objective is knowledge of the essential aspects of psychopathology, the classification of mental illnesses, clinical phenomenology, and the main practices for treatment with or without patient consent. Another goal is understanding treatments without consent (A.S.O. and T.S.O), which constitute a very delicate moment in healthcare practice, even for the general practitioner. The normal/pathological relationship and the various psychopatological approaches (biological, phenomenological, psychodynamic, sociological, anthropological) imply different conceptions of illness. Finally, it is important to understand the distinction between psychosis and neurosis, a fundamental point of orientation for clinical practice. Special attention is also given to concepts related to psychomotricity, body schema, psychomotor symptoms, and psychiatric semiotics and clinics related to the psychopatological impairment of the motor component.
