The course aims to provide the anatomical, physiological, clinical, and therapeutic foundations for understanding balance problems in evolutionary disorders and movement disorders, with particular reference to vestibular functions, diagnosis, and rehabilitation. The objective is to equip students with the tools to recognise the mechanisms underlying balance disorders and to apply appropriate diagnostic and rehabilitation strategies.
Course Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system and auditory apparatus.
Teaching Methods
Lectures with multimedia support, discussion of clinical cases, analysis of guidelines and updated scientific literature.
Assessment Methods
Oral examination on the topics covered, assessing: completeness and accuracy of knowledge, clarity and logic of presentation, appropriate use of scientific terminology.
