Notions of radiotherapy: types of radiation used; techniques (3D-conformal, IMRT-VMAT, stereotaxy, brachytherapy); indications (curative, post-surgical, palliative); treatment plans. Knowledge of the path of the radiotreated patient. Knowledge of the role of the nurse in radiotherapy.
Principles of Nuclear Medicine: radioisotopes, radiopharmaceuticals, diagnostic tests (thyroid scintigraphy, bone scintigraphy, PET) and the principles of radiation protection for patients and operators in a Nuclear Medicine department.
