Obiettivi Formativi
COURSE OBJECTIVES
This is an advanced course focusing on two key aspects of organizations: people management and information and communication technologies (ICT).
The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and tools needed to design organizational and technological solutions that foster innovation in international organizations through a socio-technical approach.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
1. Manage the impact of new technologies on human resource management.
2. Identify and develop the key competencies required to manage organizational processes effectively in today's technology-driven environment.
3. Understand how effective human resource management contributes to achieving sustainable competitive advantage, particularly in relation to the three major challenges organizations face today: sustainability, technological change, and globalization.
4. Critically discuss the issues that are shaping the evolving role and activities of the Human Resources (HR) function.
5. Describe the ICT application framework, explain its impact on enterprise information systems, and propose methodologies for designing ICT architectures from a human resource management perspective.
6. Integrate people management and technology from a project management perspective in order to plan, implement, and manage technology-based HR systems.

Prerequisiti
Basic knowledge of organizational studies is recommended. Students are encouraged to review the suggested preliminary textbook to acquire the foundational knowledge required for the course.

Metodi didattici
TEACHING METHODS
The course adopts an interactive and practice-oriented teaching approach. Students are expected to participate actively in class discussions and teamwork, and to prepare for each session by reading and studying the assigned materials in advance, when requested by the professor.
Case studies will be used to stimulate discussion and collaborative problem-solving. Students will work in teams to analyze organizational situations, identify critical issues, and propose appropriate solutions. Throughout the course, students will also be encouraged to complete individual and group assignments. These activities may contribute to the final assessment.

Verifica Apprendimento
ASSESSMENT METHODS
During the winter examination sessions, the assessment consists of a written examination. Marks obtained through the assignments and exercises completed during the course may also be taken into account as part of the final assessment.
During all other examination sessions, the assessment consists of an oral examination.
In both cases, the assessment is based on the prescribed textbook and the case studies presented and discussed during the course.
The written examination consists of open-ended questions when held on campus. If the examination is conducted online, it consists of a combination of multiple-choice and open-ended questions.
Students are advised to consult the course information available on the e-learning platform for detailed and updated information regarding the examination.
