The training activity aims to provide students with knowledge about the obligations of businesses in the context of offering products and services in retail markets. In particular, the training activity aims to provide students with the appropriate tools to recognize when business practices would involve commercial unfairness and to identify the consequences that companies may face in the event of wrongdoing. Therefore, this activity aims to prepare students for legal advice on the conduct that businesses should not engage in when dealing with consumers.
Course Prerequisites
No special prerequisites are required.
Teaching Methods
Frontal teaching with the the possible involvement of professionals with expertise in the field, and the analyis of paradigmatic case law.
Assessment Methods
Learning of knowledge will be assessed by a final report. For the purposes of this assessment, it will be necessary to have attended at least 80% of the classes.
Contents
The training activity will focus on the rules on unfair commercial practices and standard contracts, with special regard to the enforcement issues that will be examined in relation to the most relevant decisions of the Competition and Market Authority and the main national and European case law.
