Overview

Date/time interval

Primo Semestre (06/10/2025 - 23/01/2026)

Syllabus

Course Objectives

Understand the structural organization of the human body, including its main anatomo-clinical applications, from the macroscopic level to the microscopic level and the principal ultrastructural and functional aspects. Recognize the essential morphological features of systems, apparatuses, organs, tissues, cells, and subcellular structures of the human organism.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge for practical and professional purposes.

Course Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, and Anatomy, already acquired during secondary (high) school, is required.

Teaching Methods

The course will be organized through in-person lectures (14 hours) with a mandatory attendance requirement of 75%.

The teaching materials are made available to students for personal consultation only. Any dissemination to unauthorized third parties or downloading onto personal devices is strictly prohibited.
The lectures are supported by optional meetings with tutors, who are made available each year to assist students who need help with their studies.

Assessment Methods

The final exam consists of an oral test with questions covering the entire course program: histology, anatomy, and specialized anatomy.
During the oral test, the faculty member will assess the candidate’s vocabulary skills, correct use of technical terminology, deductive reasoning, and ability to connect theoretical knowledge to clinical practice.
Each candidate will be identified prior to the exam by presenting their university ID and will be examined by two faculty members, not necessarily the one who taught the course.
The final grade will be expressed on a 30-point scale.
