Course Objectives
Learning Objectives / Expected Outcomes
The APA 1 module aims to provide students with initial competencies to:
Understand the role of the nurse in clinical practice and the importance of ethical principles and Human Caring.
Acquire the knowledge to establish effective and appropriate communication and relationships with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, while being aware of one’s own and others’ values.
Deepen the professional and ethical foundations of the trust relationship with the patient, ensuring safety, privacy, and dignity.
Apply the case study method and the critical incident technique as tools for professional reflection and the development of critical thinking.
Present and consolidate the basic skills of the nursing profession: communicate effectively with patients and families, and interact appropriately with other professionals.
Read and analyze scientific articles or professional texts, distinguishing key information and reliable sources.
Be familiar with simple research tools, such as libraries and authoritative nursing websites.
