Contents
The lectures will cover the following topics: - Introduction to cultural anthropology; - Definition of culture; - Ethnocentrism and cultural relativism; - Anthropology, history and definition of the discipline; - Cultural, physical, and forensic anthropology; - Introduction to the practice of medical anthropological research, the concepts of illness and care in different human societies; - Anthropological knowledge in health services and intercultural skills for nurses; - The dynamics of health and illness in different human societies; - Presentations of cultural issues in nursing practice through the analysis of clinical experiences.
