The course aims to foster the autonomous and critical application of knowledge for analysing territorial transformations. Students will develop a strong theoretical and methodological foundation in territorial analysis, gaining an understanding of key concepts in human and urban geography, territorial policies, and analytical tools such as cartography. They will be able to interpret spatial, environmental, and socio-economic dynamics at multiple scales and explore themes like urbanisation, territorial inequalities, climate change, and sustainable development. By the end of the course, students will be able to: Apply knowledge to interpret geographic and socio-economic data from various sources; Analyse territorial reports and impact assessments; Formulate independent, evidence-based judgments about complex territorial issues; Evaluate critically the social, environmental, and political implications of spatial changes; Communicate their findings clearly to non-specialist audiences and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams; Continue learning independently through case study analysis, updated research, and methodological innovation.
