Provide students with the linguistic competence - to identify, analyse and use the main structures of English at an intermediate level; - to read and understand short medical scientific texts related to the healthcare professions; - to communicate with foreign patients and colleagues in an international working environment.
Course Prerequisites
CEFR A2 level.
Teaching Methods
Frontal and interactive teaching in English supported by the use of the textbook and further digital material available online.
The course also includes: a) compulsory online English practice on the MEC - Macmillan Online Campus, b) study support from some tutors and c) the possibility of attending a language workshop. The essential information in this regard is provided to students by the Segreteria and by the Referente MEC. Please do not contact the teacher for clarifications on points a), b) and c). Thank you.
A few hours of make-up lessons will be made available for students who, due to scheduling conflicts, will be unable to attend all the course lessons.
Assessment Methods
Final written online test (multiple choice questions) to be administered on site to assess the acquisition of grammar structures and proper use of English.
