The Human Anatomy 1 course (second semester, first year) includes the musculoskeletal system and the neuroanatomy. The first part of the course aims to show to the students the morphology, structure and anatomical variations of the musculoskeletal system. Functional aspects and some clinical anatomy notes will also be presented. The neuroanatomy section introduces the functional and structural aspects of the nervous system: the spinal cord, the brain, their subdivisions, structure, and functional aspects. Finally, the course will cover the peripheral nervous system, the structure and function of the main sense organs and their pathways.
Course Prerequisites

Teaching Methods
The Osteoarthromiology and Neuroanatomy modules include lectures with multimedia support (images and videos, also in English). The slides from the lectures will be made available in the University's e-learning space. In addition to lectures, the macroscopic anatomy module also includes practical exercises with skeletal preparations and anatomical models, in small groups and in the presence of the teacher.
Assessment Methods
The Human Anatomy exam will be taken after completing the integrated and complementary course in Human Anatomy 2. The Human Anatomy exam is the same for all modules of the course and consists of two separate open-ended interviews, with a single final grade. The degree of learning, the ability to integrate knowledge of complementary systems, and the clarity of presentation will be assessed.
