Simulating noisy quantum protocols with quantum trajectories

Abstract:
The application of quantum trajectories to simulate the effects of quantum noise sources induced by the environment on quantum information protocols was discussed. Two quantum protocols, a teleporation scheme through a chain of qubits and a quantum algorithm for the quantum brake's map was also investigated. The study suggests that using the quantum trajectories approach able to simulate quantum protocols in the presence of noise and with large system size of more that 20 qubits. The results shows that quantum trajectories are a very valuable tools for simulating noise processes in quantum information protocols with a high degree of efficiency.
