2D echocardiographic diagnosis of cardiac tumors surgically treatable.

2D echocardiography allows to detect intracardiac masses as small as 1-2 mm, to define their spatial relationship, mobility and correlates with cardiac structures and with doppler examination quantification of valvular stenosis and regurgitation but cannot help in the histopathologic definition of the mass which can represent benign primitive cardiac tumors as well as secondary tumors of the heart and pericardium and extracardiac tumors, intracardiac thrombi vegetations and more...
