Thromboaspiration device in the treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism

Venous thromboembolism, which includes deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, is the third leading vascular disease after acute myocardial infarction and stroke. This review is focused on the treatment of venous thromboembolism, the current guidelines and the devices available for the endovascular procedures.
