The lab is devoted to the development of detection systems based on scintillators and silicon detectors, of the frontend and readout electronics, of the data acquisition systems and of the analysis of the data collected on particle beams.
A great variety of detectors and acquisition systems is available in order to test the detectors with sources and cosmic rays before taking data with particle beams.
The research systems are also used in the advanced labs of the physics bachelor's and master's degrees.
