MAGRI GEO

Geo Magri (born in Cuneo, Italy, on 10 November 1978) is an Associate Professor of Private Law at the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures of the University of Insubria. He graduated in Law with a thesis on the relationship between fiduciary contracts and real estate express trusts, and later earned his PhD with a dissertation on acquisition a non domino and the circulation of cultural property, subjects that have remained central to his scholarly work. His academic activity includes teaching Institutions of Private Law and other civil‑law courses, as well as active participation in seminars, research groups and scientific initiatives at national and international level. He is the author of more than one hundred publications in Italian, English and German, published in Italy, Germany, Poland and Latin America, covering topics ranging from contract law to art law and the civil‑law aspects of cultural property circulation. His current research interests focus on art law, contract and obligations law, limitation of actions, and the law of new technologies, with particular attention to the civil‑law implications of digital innovation. He is a member of several Italian and foreign scientific associations and has taken part in numerous conferences in Italy, Germany and Poland, contributing to the international dissemination of his research and to the development of transnational academic collaborations.
