Overview
Geo Magri (born in Cuneo, Italy, on 10 November 1978) is an Associate Professor of Private Law at the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures of the University of Insubria. He graduated in Law with a thesis on the relationship between fiduciary contracts and real estate express trusts, and later earned his PhD with a dissertation on acquisition a non domino and the circulation of cultural property, subjects that have remained central to his scholarly work.
His academic activity includes teaching Institutions of Private Law and other civil‑law courses, as well as active participation in seminars, research groups and scientific initiatives at national and international level. He is the author of more than one hundred publications in Italian, English and German, published in Italy, Germany, Poland and Latin America, covering topics ranging from contract law to art law and the civil‑law aspects of cultural property circulation.
His current research interests focus on art law, contract and obligations law, limitation of actions, and the law of new technologies, with particular attention to the civil‑law implications of digital innovation.
He is a member of several Italian and foreign scientific associations and has taken part in numerous conferences in Italy, Germany and Poland, contributing to the international dissemination of his research and to the development of transnational academic collaborations.

Description
Geo Magri carried out an extended period of research at the European Legal Studies Institute of the University of Osnabrück (Germany). He subsequently served as a research fellow and later became Associate Professor of Private Law at the University of Insubria. He has also obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor.
His scholarly work focuses on European private law, with particular emphasis on consumer protection, property and real rights, limitation of actions, private law and emerging technologies, and the regulation of the cultural and artistic sector, with specific expertise in the professional relationships of opera artists.
He regularly participates in scientific conferences, doctoral seminars, and advanced training programmes in Italy and abroad, and he teaches at the Italian School for the Judiciary.
He is the author of essays and articles on consumer law, obligations and contracts, the art market, and the private law of new technologies.
