Jihane Benarafa is a tenure-track fixed-term researcher, RTT, in Comparative Private Law at the Department of Human Sciences and Innovation for the Territory of the University of Insubria. In 2024, she obtained the National Scientific Qualification for the position of Associate Professor in Academic Recruitment Field 12/E2, Comparative Law.
She is the author of numerous scientific publications and regularly participates in conferences and seminars in Italy and abroad. Her research focuses, from a comparative perspective, on the intercultural dimensions of consumer law and on the intersection between European law and the Islamic legal system, with particular regard to green financial products, Sharia-compliant funds, and sustainable fashion.
She also carries out teaching activities in legal and interdisciplinary fields. Her scientific profile lies at the intersection of sustainability, consumer protection, and legal pluralism, with specific attention to markets, financial instruments, and commercial practices sensitive to religious and intercultural dimensions.
