Role of the cellular microenvironment on cell behavior and connective tissue pathology focusing on vascular and tumor biology. Specific interests include molecular aspects of the regulation of extracellular matrix components as hyaluronan and proteoglycans (glycobiology, epigenetics, long non-coding RNA, post-translational modifications such as phosphorylation, acetylation, O-GlcNAcylation).
