Overview
Since my bachelor degree thesis (year 2010), I'm interested on the climate change impacts on high altitude and high latitude enviroments, with particular focus on ecology, biodiversity and phenology of plants (both as species and community levels), on the ecosystem processes and on their interactions with the abiotic compartment. I have been working in high alpine sites in the Italian Central Alps (Stelvio National Park) and, thanks to Programma Nazionale di Ricerche in Antartide (PNRA) and to British Antarctic Survey (BAS), I joined six Antarctic research campaigns (austral summers: 2010/2011, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2017/2018) at Rothera Research Station, Signy Research Station (Maritime Antarctica) and Mario Zucchelli Station (Terra Nova Bay, Continental Antarctica). Thanks to the Italian National Research Council (CNR) I joined one Arctic research campaign (summer 2013) at Ny-Alesund (Svalbard Islands).
Since 2022, I reached a research fellowship at Univiersity of Insubria within the project "“Back from the Future: mitigation and adaptation of climate change impacts on alpine vegetation ecosystems”.
I'm author or co-autors of 17 scientific publications on international journal with Impact Factor.
