Neurofisiologia cellulare

Group
The study of synaptic transmission and neuronal membrane excitability alterations in animal models of neuropathologies is the central interest of the Cellular Neurophysiology Lab. The Lab is equipped with one complete set-up for single-electrode patch-clamp recordings in brain slices. Since 2018, the main ongoing research project is concerned with the effects of acute stress on excitatory synaptic transmission in the medial prefrontal cortex.
