The course aims to develop knowledge and concepts related to education and pedagogical sciences, with particular attention to the interests and protection of minors and adolescent development in the contemporary world and new educational challenges. The course also aims to stimulate students' reflections on the structure and functionality of parenting and contemporary society, in order to better understand the possible operational approaches of educators in supporting educational systems. To refine the aforementioned concepts and objectives, the instructor will refer to specific authors throughout the course: Recalcati, Lacan, Rogers, Ellis, Ammaniti, Matteo Lancini; and Maura Manca.
Course Prerequisites
No specific knowledge or skills are required for successful learning, nor are there any prerequisite requirements.
Teaching Methods
The course's learning objectives will be achieved through lectures for a total of 20 hours, during which students will be actively engaged through questions and reflections from the instructor, thus giving students an active and dynamic role. The lessons alternate lectures, using slides, with discussions and group reflections on concrete cases and work experiences. The method is consistent with the expected teaching outcomes and the objectives set, which include, in addition to the implementation of knowledge, the activation of circular and active communication and the ability to reflect, metacognition, and metathink.
Assessment Methods
The exam includes an oral exam, during which the instructor not only assesses the acquisition of knowledge and information, but also the student's communication, presentation, reflection, and personal and professional reasoning skills. The final grade is the average of the three exam scores. For the subject matter, a good or excellent grade requires demonstrating not only that the student has internalized and memorized the material, but also that they have acquired subjective methods of criticism and reflection, and that they can translate what they have learned into practical application.
