Course Objectives

The course aims to provide students with the theoretical and methodological foundations of developmental psychology, essential for understanding the cognitive, emotional, and social processes that characterize the human being throughout the life course.
A systemic–ecological and psycho-educational perspective is adopted, designed to foster the ability to interpret the relational and communicative dynamics that arise in interactions with children, adolescents, and their families within the main contexts of professional educational practice.
Particular emphasis is placed on recognizing risk and protective factors in development, with the ultimate goal of promoting psychological well-being and preventing distress. Dublin Descriptors
