Assessment Methods
The exam consists of a topic (chosen from at least two) that requires students to develop a topic, analyze, and interpret a historical legal process, supporting their thesis with references to historical facts and knowledge, demonstrating complex reasoning skills and mastery of the topic. The paper requires structure, objectivity, and argumentation based on historical data.

An in-depth study of some major themes to understand the historical genesis of Italian and European law from the early Middle Ages to the age of reforms and revolutions through continuous reference to the sources of law.
