Knowledge and understanding skills: acquisition of methods, tools, and strategies specific to scientific communication. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: ability to critically read and interpret the content of popular science articles related to the topics of environmental risk. Judgment autonomy: ability to collect and interpret data useful for formulating independent judgments regarding scientific and environmental issues. Communication skills: ability to produce short journalistic contributions aimed at a non-expert audience on environmental risk topics. Learning ability: acquiring the skills needed to continue learning about environmental risk topics independently.

Lessons in blended mode for 66% of the total hours provided through the Microsoft Teams platform.
Assessment Methods
The oral exam will be composed of three questions, for a maximum grade of 30/30 (cum laude).
Contents
The tools of scientific communication (10 hours). Hazard, risk, vulnerability, environmental disasters, examples of natural and technological-industrial disasters that occurred in Italy and in the world from the 1950s onward (duration 10 hours). - Environmental sustainability - energy, food, transportation, agricolture (Duration 10 hours) - Climate change: science and communication (duration 6 hours). - Cinema representation of science and environmental topics (10 hours) - A selection of environmental documentaries (10 hours).
