Overview
Letizia Ferri is a Tenure-Track Researcher (PAED/02) at the Department of Humanities and Innovation for the Territory (DISUIT), University of Insubria (Varese-Como), where she teaches Social Pedagogy and Educational Models and Pedagogy, Training and Interculture. She holds the National Scientific Qualification (ASN) for the role of Associate Professor in the competitive sector 11/D2 (Didactics, Special Education and Educational Research). She received her PhD in Human Formation and Labour Market (XXXII cycle) from the University of Bergamo, with a dissertation on the Liceo Artigianale as an innovative educational model (M-PED/03, Distinction).
Her research interests, from a relational and systemic perspective, include university pedagogy and didactics, teacher education, Teaching and Learning Centers (TLC), service-learning, literature didactics, career guidance, Activity Theory, and mixed-methods approaches in educational research. She is the author of two monographs (Una scuola per l'integralità della persona, Marcianum Press, 2024; Per una didattica della letteratura, Morcelliana-Scholè, 2022) and of numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is a member of the PhD College at the University of Insubria and leads faculty development activities and training programmes in the third sector.
