Regine Oexl studied European Economics in Germany, Spain and Scotland, graduating in 2007 with an excellent double degree. In 2008, she started her PhD in Italy at the University of Padua, which included 18 months of research stays in the United States at Boston University and the University of California, Santa Barbara. From 2012 until 2024 she was a postdoc and lecturer at the University of Innsbruck (Austria) at the Department of Economics, where she was affiliated to the Research Centre for Economy, Politics & Society. After a period at the University of Florence, she joined the University of Insubria in November 2024.
